Down Comforters
What is a
Down Comforter?
A Down
Comforter also known as a down duvet is
a bag filled with down stuffing to create a warm bed covering
that takes the place of quilts and bedspreads.
Duvet is the French word for
down, as in down from birds.
Down consists of
clusters of filaments growing from a central quill point
without a quill shaft. Down is the light undercoating
that geese and ducks have to keep them warm.

Why
are our Down Comforters so special?
Our hypoallergenic European white goose
down comforters or duvets are recognized as the industry standard
for superior fill. We offer the
highest quality loft at the greatest volume available in order to ensure that
your luxury bedding is suitably complemented.
Generally speaking, the best down comes from
larger, more mature birds. When age and maturity
are equal, goose down is better than duck down.
Larger Down has an extraordinarily high
warmth-to-weight ratio. A duvet filled with this
down will be very light and incredibly warm. And
it will last for decades.
Anything other than the highest
quality fill for a down comforter or duvet will compromise the look and
durability of your fine linens. |
